Chennai:

Gold weighing over three kilograms value Rs 1.38 crore was seized on the worldwide airport in Chennai and two passengers have been arrested on this connection, the customs division stated on Monday.

Appearing on particular inputs, the division authorities intercepted two passengers who arrived from Kuala Lumpur and Dubai respectively within the final two days and seized the yellow metallic which was hid of their internal clothes, a press launch stated.

The gold seized was weighing 3.08 kg valued at Rs 1.38 crore and the 2 passengers each hailing from Tamil Nadu have been arrested, it stated.
