Kerala MLA tells People to Give Him Books Instead of Flowers, Donates Them to Schools

A Kerala MLA is being praised on social media after he asked people to give him books instead of flowers when they meet him. CPM MLA VK Prasanth promised to donate those books to the libraries of various government schools in the constituency.

Reports said that the legislator had been approached by local government schools, who had sought his help to set up libraries for their students. In a Facebook post on November 14, the MLA requested his residents of his constituency to donate books to him.

The MLA later announced that he had received over 3500 books, which he will be handing over to the government schools in his constituency. He also thanked those who backed the cause.

The Vattiyoorkavu MLA is locally known as “Mayor Bro” after actively participating in flood relief activities during the natural calamity in 2018.
