Russian cosmonauts aboard the Worldwide House Station on Monday celebrated Russia’s seize of the japanese Ukrainian area of Luhansk, a major milestone for Moscow within the conflict.
Roscosmos, the Russian area company, described Moscow’s seize of the Luhansk area as “a liberation day to rejoice each on Earth and in area.”
The company posted photos of cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveev and Sergei Korsakov smiling as they held up flags of Russia’s proxies in japanese Ukraine, the self-proclaimed Luhansk Folks’s Republic and Donetsk Folks’s Republic.
“This can be a long-awaited day that the residents of the occupied areas of the Luhansk area had been ready eight years for,” Roscosmos wrote on the Telegram messaging app.
“We’re satisfied that July 3, 2022, will without end stay within the historical past of the (Luhansk Folks’s) Republic.”
Russia introduced on Sunday that Russian and separatist forces had gained full management over the Luhansk area after capturing its final main metropolis, Lysychansk.
