Vince Staples’ Gift-Giving Hot Take Resurfaces, Thinks It’s Selfish

Vince Staples left folks with a philosophical tackle gift-giving that is now resurfacing and making of us suppose … yeah, the man has some extent — it is kinda the alternative of selfless.

The Lengthy Seaside rapper sat down with Complicated’s Speedy Morman again in April to plug his new album, ‘Ramona Park Broke My Coronary heart,’ and through the dialogue … they landed with regards to presents, one thing VS apparently does NOT prefer to partake in.

Watch … he tells the host that he would not like items — giving or receiving them, apparently. He explains that, in his thoughts, the act itself is often extra so concerning the individual really giving the present than it’s concerning the one getting it … counterintuitive to the idea itself.

Vince’s reply is illuminating when requested why he is not a gift-giver … “As a result of items aren’t selfless. Like, if any individual provides you a present, proper, they need you to love it as a result of it is actually about them — it is not about you.
